Operations Assistant
Casual (Zero Hour) Positions Available

Location:  Belfast International Airport, Northern Ireland

Hours:  Various Early, Late & Night Shifts

Job Summary: 

This role in our Operations Department is responsible for the daily running of the Operational aspects and the Business Jet Centre, along with the forward planning for future flights and projects contributing to the achievement of the Company’s business strategies.

The position requires a basic understanding of operational and commercial considerations.  Ideally you would have some experience of client liaison, ground operations, aircraft handling and administration.

This position will also involve liaison with other internal departments such as our Accounts Administration and Business Development Department, also external Third Party Suppliers, Airport Authority and UK Border Force etc.

Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities

     Assist the Duty Operations Controller & Operations Manager in all aspects of the daily running of the company

     Dispatching Crew with the relevant documents they require. Providing crew packs using online Crew Briefing

     Interpreting Notams, TAFs, METARs and Snowtams

     Maintaining a flight watch of all planned and live flights

     Monitoring air traffic flow using Euro Control - Central Flow Management Unit (CFMU)

     Updating files, software and manuals in the Operations Room

     Monitor the Ops Board, update board and assist in ensuring that all aspects are in date

     Arranging and confirming Aircraft Handling Requests, Catering Orders, Crew/Pax Transport and Fuel Orders

     Operation of Company Vehicles & Equipment for use on the Business Aviation Apron

     Ramp duties including Loading & Unloading of Passenger/Crew Baggage ensuring the safe delivery to the final destination; Aircraft Marshalling; Delivery of In-Flight Catering Orders; Removal & Disposal of Trash from Aircraft

     Liaison with the Air Crew to ensure that they receive a premium service; Crew Transport to/from Hotels

Experience & Knowledge Required

     The ability to work effectively as part of a team and in high-pressure environments

     Exceptional customer service skills

     Current clean valid & full driving licence

     Experience of working in an operational environment and working shifts is an advantage

     Knowledge of the Aviation Industry and Ground Handling would be beneficial

     Knowledge of operational systems such as CFMU would be desirable

     The ability to speak a foreign language would be an advantage

     Proficient in the use of Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Database, E-Mail and Internet

     Due to airport security regulations to obtain an airport pass, a criminal record check will be required.  The past five years must be free of any criminal or driving convictions.

Aircraft Re-Fuelling Operator
1 Full Time Position

Location:  Belfast International Airport, Northern Ireland 

Hours:  40 Hours - Various Early, Late & Night Shifts

Job Summary: 

This role in our Aircraft Refuelling Department is responsible for the daily running of the fuelling aspects along with the operational duties associated with Aircraft Ramp Handling and forward planning for future flights.

The position requires an understanding of fuel, operational and commercial considerations.  Ideally you would have experience of driving heavy vehicles, client liaison, aviation and administration. 

Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities

·     To attend and refuel aircraft by fuel bowser as directed by the Duty Operations Controller, Aircraft Fuel Manger or Daily Worksheet

·     Operating in accordance with Airport, Health & Safety, HM Customs & Jet Assist regulations and procedures

·     Operating on-board aircraft switches in accordance with Jet Assist & Operator procedure

·     Recording data manually and by computer

·     Conducting vehicle checks by carrying out the designated quality control procedures

·     Identifying any defects found and reporting accordingly

·     Ensuring all vehicles are serviced with legal road diesel, oil and necessary lubricants

·     Maintaining regular radio/telephone contact for flight information and operating all forms of comms as provided

·     Reporting any incidents and providing reports as required

·     Carrying out other relevant tasks as directed by the Duty Operations Controller, Operations or Fuel Manager

Experience & Knowledge Required

·     Demonstrate high levels of awareness in relation to Health, Safety, Security and the Environment

·     Current clean valid & full driving licence with experience of driving heavy vehicles

·     LGV/HGV, CPC & ADR would be an advantage

·     Have good basic mechanical/equipment troubleshooting skills

·     High standard of numeracy and literacy skills required in addition to problem solving skills

·     The ability to work effectively as part of a team, with a high degree of flexibility and in high-pressure environments

·     Excellent leadership, personal and communication skills are essential as is the need to be both adaptable and flexible

·     Exceptional customer service skills

·     Knowledge of the Aviation Industry would be beneficial

·     Aircraft Re-fuelling experience desirable but not essential as training will be provided

·     Proficient in the use of Word Processing, Spreadsheet, Database, E-Mail and Internet
